Thembi is a studio album by American saxophonist Pharoah Sanders, released in 1971. The record blends spiritual and free jazz with extended saxophone improvisations, modal exploration and an emphasis on percussion and texture, representing a phase in Sanders's career when he broadened his sonic palette and pursued more open, exploratory forms.
