Eine Faust-Symphonie is a symphonic work by Hungarian composer Franz Liszt, composed between 1854 and 1857. A large-scale programme piece rooted in Goethe's Faust, it employs expansive orchestral forces, thematic transformation and advanced chromatic harmony to explore psychological and character-driven material and stands in Liszt's mature output as a bridge between mid-Romantic symphonic practice and the later symphonic poem.
