Release from Agony is the third studio album by German thrash metal band Destruction, released in 1987. The album is heavier and more technical than their earlier work, with varied tempos, dissonant riffs, technical guitar work and darker atmospheres, and it saw the band move toward more complex arrangements within thrash metal.
