Symphony No. 3 is the third symphony by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler, completed in 1896. The work is an expansive late-Romantic piece, characterised by very large orchestral forces, the incorporation of chorus and solo vocal parts and a sequence of movements with programme-like content that reflects Mahler's evolving symphonic conception.
