Whistle Stop

Whistle Stop is a studio album by American jazz trumpeter Kenny Dorham, released in 1961. Musically, the album is rooted in hard bop and post-bop jazz with a warm trumpet sound, layered harmonies, insistent rhythms and an increasing use of modal ideas, and it came at a time when Dorham shifted from earlier hard bop toward more harmonically exploratory work.
