Kantaten, BWV 1–3 is a set of church cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach, composed in the mid-1720s. These works exemplify Bach's liturgical cantata style, juxtaposing chorale-derived material, recitative and aria textures and intricate contrapuntal writing within the baroque harmonic idiom, and they occupy an early place in his Leipzig cantata output.
