Turangalîla‑Symphonie is a symphonic composition by French composer Olivier Messiaen, completed in 1948. The work employs a large orchestra augmented by piano and the ondes Martenot, features complex rhythmic patterns and Messiaen's modes of limited transposition to produce richly coloured, rhythmically driven textures, and it occupies a central place in his post‑war output and in mid‑20th‑century orchestral repertoire.
