Jeanne Loriod

Jeanne Loriod was a French musician born in 1928 who built her career from the 1940s as a specialist performer of the ondes Martenot within contemporary classical and electronic music. She advocated new works for the instrument, premiered many compositions, published a detailed study on ondes Martenot technique, and maintained a sustained presence in mid- to late-20th-century classical and film music contexts.
