Revival

Revival is the debut studio album by American singer-songwriter Gillian Welch, released in 1996. Musically it draws on traditional American folk, bluegrass and country influences with sparse acoustic arrangements, close harmony singing and a focus on songwriting and period-evocative sonics, and it established the aesthetic that would shape Welch's subsequent work in contemporary roots and Americana music.
