The Captain and Me is the third studio album by American rock band The Doobie Brothers, released in 1973. The album is rooted in rock with country and soul influences, featuring layered vocal harmonies, piano and horn textures and a mix of acoustic and electric guitars, and the release came as the band moved beyond their earlier country-rock approach toward a broader, band-centred sound.
