Still and Moving Lines of Silence in Families of Hyperbolas is a composition by American experimental composer Alvin Lucier, written in 1973. The piece uses acoustic phenomena such as interference of tones and room resonance to create slow shifts in timbre within an experimental, minimalist idiom, and it continues Lucier's investigation of acoustic processes that he explored earlier in his career.
