The Little Match Girl Passion is an album of a choral composition by American composer David Lang, released in 2008. Drawing on the Passion tradition, the work presents a spare, intimate choral setting of a well-known fairy tale that relies on repetitive motifs, close-textured harmonies and restrained dynamics, and signalled a turn in Lang's career toward concise, emotionally direct vocal writing within contemporary classical music.
