Cantatas, BWV 80–82 is a collection of sacred cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach, composed in the early 18th century (circa 1715–1724). These Baroque vocal works employ chorale-based textures, intricate counterpoint and varied orchestral forces to serve liturgical functions, and they illustrate Bach's development in cantata writing during his productive period as a church composer.
