Das Buch mit sieben Siegeln is an oratorio by Austrian composer Franz Schmidt, completed in 1937 and first performed in 1938. The work is a large-scale late-Romantic choral and orchestral composition that combines dense chromatic harmony, expansive orchestration and contrapuntal writing, and stands as Schmidt's final major work and a late example of Austro-German Romanticism in the 1930s.
