Piano Quartets
Album by Johannes Brahms & Jörg Demus & Barylli Quartet
Piano Quartets are a set of three chamber works by Johannes Brahms, composed between the early 1860s and the mid-1870s. They combine Romantic harmonic language and contrapuntal textures in a piano-and-strings chamber setting, representing a key span in Brahms's career as he developed his mature approach to structure and thematic development within the German Romantic tradition.
