Jörg Demus

Jörg Demus was an Austrian classical pianist born in 1928 who began his career in the mid-20th century, working both as a soloist and as an accompanist within the classical tradition. He specialised in Lied accompaniment and chamber music and was involved in historically informed performance, frequently performing on fortepiano and drawing attention to early keyboard repertoire and song literature.
