Samson et Dalila is an opera in three acts by French composer Camille Saint-Saëns, premiered in Weimar in 1877. Musically it blends Romantic-era orchestral colour, lyrical vocal writing and dramatic choral textures drawn from a biblical narrative, and it was composed during Saint-Saëns's mature period where it contributed to developments in late-19th-century French opera.
