Spreading the Disease is the second studio album by American thrash metal band Anthrax, released in 1985. The album features fast, aggressive thrash metal characterised by complex guitar riffing, driving rhythms and energetic vocal delivery, and marks an early point in the band's career as they refined their songwriting and helped shape the burgeoning American thrash scene of the mid-1980s.
