Roland D-20

Synthesizer by Roland

The Roland D-20 is a digital synthesiser manufactured by Roland and released in 1988. It was used in late 1980s and early 1990s pop, dance and soundtrack production, where keyboardists and producers drew on its digital tones to add new pad, brass and percussive colours and to move mainstream production from mainly analogue textures toward hybrid digital sounds; artists and producers associated with Roland's D-series include Enya, Vangelis and Trevor Horn.
