Roland D-550
Synthesizer by Roland
The Roland D-550 is a rack-mounted synthesiser introduced by Roland in 1987 as the module version of the D-50, using the same Linear Arithmetic synthesis engine that combines 8-bit PCM samples with digitally generated waveforms. It offers 16-voice polyphony, 64 patches, built-in reverb and chorus, and was used widely in pop and film production throughout the late 1980s.
