EML ElectroComp 100

Synthesizer by Electronic Music Laboratories

Electronic Music Laboratories introduced the ElectroComp 100 in 1970 as a portable, duophonic suitcase synthesizer with four VCOs and a multimode filter, produced one year before the better-known ARP 2600. Its op-amp-based circuitry was notably more stable and reliable than the transistor designs used by competitors Moog and ARP, though its non-standard 1.2V/octave scaling limited interfacing with other manufacturers.
