How do I export a playlist to Apple Music?
TL;DR
Open your playlist on Raygum, click the Apple Music button, authorize in your browser, and the playlist will be created in your library.
Exporting to Apple Music
- Open the playlist you want to export
- Click the Apple Music button in the export bar
- If this is your first time, a browser dialog will ask you to sign in to Apple Music and authorize Raygum
- Raygum will create a new playlist in your Apple Music library and match the tracks
- A results screen shows how many tracks were added and any that could not be found
How Apple Music authorization works
Unlike Spotify and Tidal, Apple Music authorization happens directly in your browser using Apple's MusicKit. There is no separate linked account in Settings. You will be asked to authorize each time your session expires.
Track matching
Raygum searches the Apple Music catalog for each track by title and artist. The results screen lists any tracks that could not be matched so you can find them manually in Apple Music.
Troubleshooting
- Make sure you have an active Apple Music subscription (not just iTunes Match)
- If the authorization dialog does not appear, check that pop-ups are not blocked for raygum.com
- Try a different browser if you experience issues with the Apple Music sign-in dialog
