Randall Thompson

Randall Thompson was an American composer who came to prominence in the mid-20th century and was principally associated with choral and vocal music. His compositions, ranging from a cappella motets to larger choral works, are characterised by lyrical melodic lines, clear tonal harmony and sensitive text-setting, and figure prominently in American choral programmes.
