Deryck Cooke

Deryck Cooke was an English musicologist and broadcaster born in 1919 who began his career in the mid-20th century specialising in classical and late-Romantic repertoire. He is best known for his scholarship on Gustav Mahler and for preparing a performing version of Mahler's unfinished Tenth Symphony, work that influenced subsequent performances and scholarly discussion of Mahler's late style.
