DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince are an American hip hop duo formed in West Philadelphia in 1986. Their music mixed humorous, narrative lyrics with DJ-centric beats and elements of pop and funk, and their crossover into television and film helped expose mainstream audiences to hip hop culture.
