Salt‐N‐Pepa

Salt-N-Pepa are an American hip hop trio formed in Queens, New York City, in 1985. They blended rap with dance and R&B influences, frequently addressing themes of sexuality, relationships and female empowerment, and over the late 1980s and 1990s their sound evolved to incorporate prominent hooks, sampling and club-oriented production that brought a female perspective into mainstream hip hop.
