Self Esteem is an English pop and art-pop solo project that emerged from the Sheffield indie scene in the mid-2010s when the artist transitioned from band work to a solo career. The music blends synth-driven pop, R&B and electronic elements with confessional lyrics about relationships, self-worth and gender politics, and is accompanied by theatrical live shows and a strong visual aesthetic.
