Arne Nordheim

Arne Nordheim was a Norwegian composer from Larvik whose career began in the 1950s and who worked primarily in contemporary classical and electronic music. His work combined traditional orchestral and vocal writing with tape, live electronics and experimental sonorities, and he contributed music for theatre, film and choral repertoire while playing a significant role in the development of post-war Norwegian music.
