Boston are an American rock band formed in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1976, emerging within the arena rock and hard rock scenes. Their music is characterised by layered, multi-tracked guitars and vocal harmonies combined with polished studio production, and over subsequent decades they were intermittently active and became closely associated with late 1970s and early 1980s classic rock radio.
