world's end girlfriend is a Japanese experimental music project originating in Kyoto that began releasing recordings in the early 2000s and draws on post-rock, electronic and contemporary classical genres. Across its career the project has blended orchestral arrangements, glitchy electronics, shoegaze textures and cinematic composition, evolving from lo-fi electronic pieces to more elaborately arranged works and playing a role in Japan's experimental and post-rock scenes.
