The Louvin Brothers
The Louvin Brothers were an American country music duo formed in Alabama in the late 1940s, performing a mix of secular country and gospel music on radio and in early recordings. Their close-harmony vocal style and the intertwining of sacred and secular themes informed later developments in country, bluegrass and Americana as their repertoire moved from radio into studio recordings through the 1950s and early 1960s.
