Jamie xx is an English electronic musician, producer and DJ from London who began his career as a member of an English indie pop band formed in 2005 and later established himself as a solo artist in electronic and dance music. His work blends elements of UK garage, house, dubstep and ambient electronica with sample-based production and club-oriented rhythms, evolving from sparse, minimalist sketches to fuller solo compositions and remixes that draw on the UK's club and DIY scenes.
