The Donald Knaack Percussion Ensemble

The Donald Knaack Percussion Ensemble is an American percussion group formed in the 1970s in New York, working within contemporary classical, experimental and world percussion traditions. Their work emphasises the use of unconventional and found instruments—particularly recycled materials—combining composed rhythmic structures with elements of theatre, improvisation and environmental education as they expanded from concert performance into community and educational projects.
