Beno Blachut

Beno Blachut was a Czech operatic tenor who began his professional career in the 1930s and sang principally in opera houses across Czechoslovakia and Central Europe within the operatic genre. His repertoire specialised in lyric and spinto tenor roles with a particular emphasis on Czech opera by composers such as Smetana, Dvořák and Janáček, and his recordings and stage work document mid‑20th‑century Czech operatic practice.
