G. Love & Special Sauce are an American band formed in Philadelphia in 1993 that blend elements of blues, hip-hop, folk and rock. Their musical style fuses acoustic blues and funk grooves with hip-hop rhythms and laid-back vocal delivery, evolving to incorporate soul and roots influences and helping to popularise a hybrid blues/hip-hop sound within alternative music circles.
