Terry Bozzio is an American drummer and percussionist from San Francisco who began his professional career in the early 1970s and is associated with progressive rock, jazz fusion and experimental music. His musical style emphasises intricate polyrhythms, melodic tom‑tom phrasing and large-scale drum kit designs, and across a career spanning session work, progressive rock bands and solo percussion projects he has contributed to the development of contemporary drumming techniques.
