Richard H. Kirk was an English electronic musician from Sheffield who began his career in the mid-1970s as a co-founder of the experimental group Cabaret Voltaire and later released extensive solo work spanning industrial, post-punk and electronic dance music. His work emphasised sampling, synthesiser textures and rhythmic experimentation, evolving from abrasive tape-based experiments into more dance-oriented and techno-influenced productions while retaining a focus on sound design and club-oriented structures.
