Max Richter

Max Richter is a German-born British composer and pianist, born in Hamelin and active since the 1990s, whose work occupies the space between contemporary classical, post-minimalism and ambient music. He combines repetitive, minimalist structures with orchestral strings, piano and electronic textures, working across concert composition and film and television scoring and undertaking projects that reinterpret earlier classical repertoire.
