The Piano Quartets
Album by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart & André Previn & Young Uck Kim & Heiichiro Ohyama & Gary Hoffman
The Piano Quartets are two chamber works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, composed in 1785 and 1786. They pair piano with a string trio in a Classical idiom, featuring more expansive piano writing, increased dramatic contrast and a shift in Mozart's chamber-music approach that influenced later developments in the genre.
