Symphony No. 10 in E minor, Op. 93 is the tenth symphony by Dmitri Dmitriyevich Shostakovich, composed and premiered in 1953. The work is an expansive orchestral symphony characterised by sharp contrasts, driving rhythms and starkly expressive orchestration; composed in the aftermath of the Stalin era, it occupies a significant position in Shostakovich's post-war output and influenced subsequent Soviet and international symphonic writing.
