Symphony no. 9
Album by Anton Bruckner & Budapest Festival Orchestra & Iván Fischer
Symphony No. 9 is the ninth symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, composed between 1887 and 1896. The large-scale D minor work is characterised by expansive orchestration, sustained brass chorales and slow-building structures that exemplify Bruckner's late symphonic language, and it stands as his final, unfinished symphony with three completed movements and a fragmentary finale.
