For Children is a two-volume collection of pedagogical piano pieces by Hungarian composer Béla Bartók, published in 1908–1909. The short, progressively graded pieces are arrangements of Eastern European folk tunes that reflect Bartók's fieldwork and his exploration of folk modes, rhythms and modal harmonies, occupying an early place in his career as he integrated ethnomusicological material into his compositional and teaching practice.
