Album by Ludwig van Beethoven & The London Pro Musica Symphony Orchestra & Walter Richter
Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125 is the ninth symphony by German composer Ludwig van Beethoven, completed and first performed in 1824. The work is a large-scale Romantic symphony that mixes classical forms with expanded orchestration and vocal forces; the final movement brings in chorus and solo voices, and it was composed late in Beethoven's career when he was almost completely deaf.
