Piano Sonatas

Album by Alexander Nikolayevich Scriabin & Boris Bekhterev

Piano Sonatas is a cycle of ten piano sonatas by the Russian composer Alexander Scriabin, composed between 1892 and 1913. The works trace Scriabin's progression from late-Romantic virtuosity to an increasingly chromatic, mystically inflected harmonic language and formal experimentation, reflecting his role in the transition to early 20th-century modernist piano music.
