Ungarische Rhapsodien / Liebestraum

Album by Franz Liszt & Andor Földes & Evgeny Kissin & Roberto Szidon & Anatoli Ugorski & Tamás Vásáry

Ungarische Rhapsodien and Liebestraum are collections of piano works by Franz Liszt from the mid-19th century, composed and published during the 1840s–1850s. Musically they pair folk-derived, rhapsodic themes and virtuosic piano writing with lyrical, nocturne-like melodies and expansive arpeggiated textures, and they occupy a central place in Liszt's development of Romantic piano technique and repertoire.
