The Gospel According to the Other Mary is an oratorio by American composer John Adams, released in 2012. The piece uses Adams's post-minimalist language—driving rhythmic patterns, layered orchestral textures and expansive choral writing with moments of dissonant intensity and lyrical introspection—to rework biblical material and continues his engagement with large-scale vocal and dramatic forms in the early 21st century.
