The Six Cello Suites, BWV 1007–1012, are a set of six suites for unaccompanied cello by Johann Sebastian Bach, composed c. 1717–1723. They consist of dance-derived movements that explore polyphony, range and expressive techniques on the solo cello, and they represent a key contribution to Bach's instrumental output and the development of the solo string repertoire.
