Symphony No. 8 is the eighth symphony by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler, premiered in 1910. A late-Romantic choral symphony of vast scale, it combines large orchestral forces with multiple choirs and soloists to fuse sacred and secular texts and represents a culmination of Mahler's exploration of expansive form, dense orchestration and expressive range in his later career.
