Piano Trios

Album by Johannes Brahms & Arthur Rubinstein & Henryk Szeryng & Pierre Fournier

Piano Trios is a set of three chamber works by Johannes Brahms, composed in the mid-to-late 19th century (1854–1886). Rooted in Romantic chamber music, the trios feature dense harmonic language, interwoven counterpoint and sustained lyrical passages that trace Brahms's development from youthful Romanticism to his mature, structurally rigorous style and occupy a significant place in his chamber music output.
