Album by Zoltán Kodály & Andreas Brantelid & Benjamin Schmid

Sonata for Solo Cello, Op. 8 and Duo for Violin and Cello, Op. 7 are compositions by Hungarian composer Zoltán Kodály, composed in 1915 and 1914 respectively. Both works draw on Hungarian folk modalities and late-Romantic harmonic language, featuring lyrical melodic lines, modal scales and contrapuntal textures that reflect Kodály's engagement with national folk idioms and mark an early, formative stage in his chamber-music output.
